Mr. Jason Porteous

I have been teaching for well over 20 years now and enjoy it each and every day. I truly love Social Studies and work hard to bring a bit of excitement to that class. I also teach some Food courses at J.T. Foster and use that course as a way to help develop some great skills for the future with students.

I just got married this summer to my wonderful wife, Annette. We have a blended family of 6 adult kids and just welcomed our first granddaughter last year.

I am glad to be back teaching at J.T. Foster. I am also very happy to be back coaching basketball in the community. In my spare time, aside from basketball, I enjoy riding my motorbikes in the warm weather and either skiing or hiking in the mountains in the cooler weather.
